Meadow Vista is one of a few small communities located just outside of Auburn along the I-80 corridor. Its elevation just under 2000 feet makes it perfect for minimizing the summer heat of the Sacramento Valley and just high enough to get an occasional dusting of snow. Meadows are the hallmark of Meadow Vista. From the beautiful Meadow Vista Park to the town center with its own public pool and park, to the Simpson Ranch meadows that are now producing fresh vegetables at Foothill Roots Farm, the meadows offer flat land not always common in “the foothills”. Surrounding the meadow lands is the transition forest of towering Ponderosa Pines and Black Oaks that provide beautiful fall color. On any given day you’ll see walkers, runners and cyclists of all ages enjoying the easy accessibility of this bucolic village. People are surprised to find that in this town of approx. 3300 whether you want to play tennis, have your hair styled, get your car repaired, paint your house, buy groceries, go to the library, take your horse to the vet or your child to the orthodontist, buy organically grown produce… and almost everything in between, you can do it right in Meadow Vista! A quick trip to I80 offers close proximity to Auburn and areas west, or east 45 minutes to skiing options and Lake Tahoe & Reno.
